Does Amazon Own UNFI?

Amazon owns a variety of companies that are directly or indirectly related to its main business. One such company is United Natural Foods Inc., also known as UNFI.

Founded in 1976, UNFI is a leading food distributor and grocery wholesaler in North America.

UNFI supplies natural and organic foods, specialty foods, and related products to customers ranging from traditional Supermarkets to natural product superstores, independent retailers, e-commerce grocers, and foodservice providers. The company has a diversified portfolio of over 8,000 suppliers and more than 110,000 products.

With this purchase, Amazon gained access to UNFI’s wide network of suppliers and products. This gave Amazon an edge over other grocery stores as it allowed them to quickly expand their product selection.

Since then, Amazon has continued to invest in UNFI with the goal of further integrating its supply chain with Whole Foods stores across the U. The two companies have also collaborated on various initiatives such as AmazonFresh Pickup locations within Whole Foods stores.
