Restoring your WhatsApp messages after changing your number is not a difficult task. It requires you to follow some simple steps and you can easily get back all of your chats. There are two ways to restore your messages after changing your number; one is by using Google Drive and the other by using local backups.
Using Google Drive
Google Drive is a cloud storage service developed by Google that allows users to store, share and access their data across multiple devices. You can use it to back up your WhatsApp messages and transfer them to another device. To do this, you need to:
- Open WhatsApp on your device.
- Go to Settings > Chats > Chat Backup > Back Up Now.
- Once the backup is complete, sign into the same Google account on the new device.
- Open WhatsApp on the new device and verify your new phone number.
- You will be asked if you want to restore the backup from Google Drive. Choose “Restore” and all of your chats will be restored.
Using Local Backups
If you don’t want to use Google Drive, you can use local backups instead. This method requires you to manually transfer the backup files from one device to another.
To do this, you need to:
- On the old device, go to Settings > Chats > Chat Backup > Back Up Now. This will create a backup file on your device.
