How Did Amazon Start?

Amazon is one of the world’s largest online shopping and retail companies. Founded in 1994 by Jeff Bezos, Amazon initially started as an online bookstore but has since grown to include a wide range of products.

Bezos had always been an entrepreneur, having started several successful businesses before Amazon. He originally wanted to call the company Cadabra, but eventually settled on Amazon because it was the world’s largest river and he saw potential for growth in the e-commerce business. He began with just a few employees and some books, but quickly grew to include CDs, DVDs, video games and electronics.

Bezos had a unique approach to running Amazon; he focused on customer service and fast delivery times.

He also introduced innovative features such as Amazon Prime which offered free shipping on certain items and discounts on others. This enabled customers to purchase items without worrying about shipping costs or delivery times. He also created a platform for third party sellers to list their products on the site which further increased Amazon’s offerings and enabled them to compete with traditional retailers.

Amazon also began developing its own products such as Kindle e-readers, Fire tablets, Echo smart speakers and more recently, their own streaming service called Prime Video. This has enabled Amazon to become a major player in the entertainment industry as well as providing customers with access to thousands of streaming shows and movies.

Today, Amazon is one of the most successful companies in the world with a market value of over $1 trillion dollars. It continues to innovate with new services such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) which provide cloud computing services for businesses around the globe.

Conclusion:
Amazon has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1994 when Jeff Bezos started it as an online bookstore. It has grown exponentially over the years due to its focus on customer service and fast delivery times, allowing it to become one of the most successful companies in the world today with a market value of over $1 trillion dollars.
