When you are relying on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to power your business, it is important to know how to cancel services when needed. If you want to cancel a service, the process is relatively straightforward. In this article, we will discuss the steps for canceling AWS services.
Step 1: Log into your AWS account. You can do this by visiting the official AWS website and entering your login credentials.
Step 2: Once logged in, click on “Services” at the top of the page and select “EC2” from the list of services.
Step 3: Select “Instances” from the left sidebar menu and choose the instance you want to cancel. Click on “Actions” and then select “Instance State” and then select “Terminate”.
Step 4: You will be asked to confirm that you want to terminate the instance. Click on “Yes, Terminate”.
Note: Once an instance is terminated, it cannot be recovered.
Be sure that all of your data has been backed up before proceeding with termination.
Step 5: Repeat steps 2-4 for any other instances that you would like to cancel. When finished, click on “Services” at the top of the page and select “Billing & Cost Management”.
Step 6:Click on “View Cost & Usage Details” and then click on “Cancel Subscription” at the top right of the page.
