How Does WhatsApp Web Work?

WhatsApp Web is an extension of the popular messaging app WhatsApp, allowing users to access their WhatsApp account directly from their web browser. Unlike other messaging apps, WhatsApp Web does not require users to download any special software or plugin; instead, it can be accessed directly from the web browser.

To use WhatsApp Web, users first need to connect their mobile device and computer to the same Wi-Fi network. Once connected, they can then scan a QR code displayed on their computer screen with their mobile device’s camera. Once scanned, the connection between the two devices will be established and users will be able to access all of their messages, contacts and chats on their computer.

The interface of WhatsApp Web is very similar to that of the mobile app; however there are some differences. For example, most web browsers do not allow users to make voice or video calls through WhatsApp Web.

Furthermore, while notifications are supported in some browsers (such as Google Chrome), this feature is not available in all browsers. Additionally, some features available on the mobile version of WhatsApp are not available on the web version.

WhatsApp Web also supports group messages and group video calls – although only four people can be part of a group call at once. Group members are identified by a green dot next to their name if they are online. Furthermore, users can also share documents such as PDFs, Word documents and PowerPoint presentations through the app – although file sizes cannot exceed 100 MB.

Conclusion:

WhatsApp Web is an easy-to-use messaging platform that allows users to access all of their messages and contacts directly from a web browser without having to download any additional software or plugins. It offers many features that are similar to those found in its mobile counterpart – including group messages and video calls – although it does have certain restrictions such as not being able to make voice or video calls in certain browsers or having file size limits.
