Is Amazon Making the Silmarillion?

Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer, is stirring up quite a bit of excitement with the potential release of J.R. Tolkien’s long-lost book, The Silmarillion. The book is one of the most highly sought after works in literature and has been out of print since its original publication in 1977.

Amazon has already made strides in bringing Tolkien’s work back to life with its recent release of the films based on The Lord Of The Rings trilogy and The Hobbit, both of which were huge successes at the box office. Now, it seems that Amazon is looking to expand its Tolkien franchise with the re-release of The Silmarillion.

The Silmarillion is considered to be one of Tolkien’s most complex works, and it features a variety of characters from all across Middle-Earth. It is an epic tale that follows the struggles and adventures of a group of elves as they try to reclaim their homeland from an evil force known as Morgoth. It also features some of Tolkien’s most iconic characters such as Elrond, Galadriel and Gandalf.

Amazon has yet to officially announce its plans for The Silmarillion, but there have been numerous reports that suggest that Amazon will be producing a television series based on the book. This would be a massive undertaking for Amazon as it would require them to create an entirely new world and cast a multitude of actors in order to bring Tolkien’s characters to life on screen.

If Amazon does decide to take on this project then it could potentially revolutionize how we experience literature-based media. Not only would it provide us with another opportunity to enjoy some classic literature, but it could also open up new possibilities for future adaptations based on other literary works.

At this point in time, there is no way to know if Amazon will actually be making The Silmarillion into a television series or not but one thing is certain: if they do decide to take on this project then it could turn out to be something truly special for fans everywhere.

Conclusion: Whether or not Amazon decides to make the Silmarillion into a television series remains unknown at this time; however, if they do greenlight this project then it could lead us into uncharted territory when it comes to experiencing literature through media adaptations.
