Knowing that only someone with royal blood can take the throne, Anneliese comes up with a plan for Erika to disguise herself as her so she can escape for a while. Erika reluctantly agrees, but not before she meets Prince Julian, who falls in love with her instantly upon meeting her.

The two embark on a journey filled with adventure and danger in order to save the kingdom from Preminger’s devious plot. Along the way they are helped by faithful friends such as Marla the mouse, Madame Carp and Queen Genevieve (voiced by Britt Irvin).
