Is Death Proof on Netflix?

Death Proof is a 2007 action thriller film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The movie stars Kurt Russell, Rosario Dawson, Vanessa Ferlito, Jordan Ladd, and Sydney Tamiia Poitier. It was released in theaters on April 6, 2007 to mixed reviews from critics.

The plot of Death Proof centers around a stuntman named Mike (Russell) who has a death wish. He has rigged his car with explosives and intends to kill himself and anyone else he can in a spectacular crash.

In the meantime, he stalks four young women – Abernathy (Dawson), Lee (Ferlito), Kim (Ladd), and Zoe (Poitier). After a deadly game of cat-and-mouse, Mike finally meets his match in the form of Stuntman Mike’s nemesis – stunt driver Jungle Julia Lucai (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).

Death Proof features some of Tarantino’s signature style: witty dialogue, black humor, graphic violence, and homage to classic grindhouse horror films. The film contains many references to pop culture including music from the 1970s and 80s as well as references to classic Hollywood films like Psycho and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The movie received generally positive reviews although some critics felt that it didn’t quite live up to Tarantino’s previous work. Despite this criticism, Death Proof was nominated for several awards including Best Picture at the 2008 Saturn Awards.

So is Death Proof on Netflix? Unfortunately not yet – but hopefully soon! Netflix has been known to acquire older films like this one in order to add them to their streaming library so it could be available sooner than later.

In conclusion, Death Proof is an action-packed thrill ride with plenty of nods to classic cinema which fans of Quentin Tarantino are sure to appreciate. Though it may not be available on Netflix yet, hopefully it will be soon so viewers can enjoy this great movie without having to leave the comfort of their own homes!
