Is Dune Going to Be on Netflix?

Dune, the latest movie adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction novel, has been highly anticipated by fans around the world. The movie stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac, and is directed by Denis Villeneuve.

What We Know So Far

The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 18, 2020. It will be available in both 3D and IMAX formats. While there is no official announcement yet, it’s likely that the movie will eventually find its way onto streaming services such as Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix.

Will It Be On Netflix?

At this point, it’s difficult to say whether or not Dune will be available on Netflix. Netflix typically acquires rights to films after they’ve been released in theatres for a certain amount of time, usually about three months or so. This means that if Dune were to be released on Netflix sometime in 2021, it would likely be sometime after March 2021 at the earliest.

What About Other Streaming Services?

Other streaming services such as Hulu and Amazon Prime Video may also acquire rights to Dune after its theatrical release date. However, it’s worth noting that both Hulu and Amazon Prime Video tend to focus more on original programming than licensed content from other studios. As such, it’s possible that Dune may never make its way onto either of these streaming platforms at all.

Conclusion

At this point in time, it’s impossible to say whether or not Dune will ever make its way onto Netflix or any other streaming service. While there are a few possibilities for where the movie could end up after its theatrical release date, nothing is certain until an official announcement is made by either the studio or the streaming service itself.

Until then, fans of Dune can only cross their fingers and hope for the best! Is Dune Going to Be on Netflix? Unfortunately we can’t answer that question just yet!
