Is Jojo Rabbit Available on Netflix?

Jojo Rabbit, the highly acclaimed 2019 satirical dark comedy-drama written and directed by Taika Waititi, follows the story of Johannes ‘Jojo’ Betzler, a young Nazi enthusiast whose world is turned upside down when he finds out his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their home. The film has been praised for its unique approach to a very sensitive subject matter, and was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Starring Roman Griffin Davis as Jojo, Scarlett Johansson as his mother Rosie Betzler, and Waititi himself as Jojo’s imaginary friend Adolf Hitler, the film has been praised for its thoughtful exploration of themes such as innocence, individuality and identity. The film also features an all-star cast including Sam Rockwell as Captain Klenzendorf, Rebel Wilson as Fraulein Rahm, Thomasin McKenzie as Elsa Korr and Alfie Allen as Finkel.

The movie received rave reviews from critics upon its release in October 2019. Variety called it “a daringly original comedy-drama that entertains even as it provokes” while The Guardian hailed it as “a weirdly engaging tale of childhood rebellion with a darkly comic edge”. With a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 8/10 rating on IMDB, it’s no surprise that Jojo Rabbit has become one of the most critically acclaimed films of 2019.
