Is Lord of the Rings on Netflix or Hulu?

The Lord of the Rings is a popular fantasy novel series written by J.R. Tolkien, and its film adaptation has been widely celebrated as one of the best fantasy movies of all time. Fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting to watch it on either Netflix or Hulu, but unfortunately, it is not available on either streaming service.

The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy was released in 2001-2003, before either Netflix or Hulu had emerged as popular streaming services. The films were distributed by New Line Cinema and were released on DVD and Blu-ray.

In recent years, they have been made available for digital rental or purchase through various platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes and Google Play Movies & TV. The films are also available for streaming through a handful of subscription services such as HBO Now, FandangoNow and Verizon Fios On Demand.

Although Netflix and Hulu do not currently offer The Lord of the Rings movies for streaming, there is still a way to watch them through the two services. Netflix offers DVDs and Blu-rays through their DVD rental service which can be ordered online and then shipped directly to your home for a monthly fee. Similarly, Hulu offers its own version of this service called “Hulu Plus” which allows users to rent or buy DVDs and Blu-rays from Hulu’s library at an additional cost.

The Lord of the Rings may not be available on Netflix or Hulu yet, but that doesn’t mean it won’t ever be added to their libraries in the future. Both Netflix and Hulu have shown an interest in acquiring more classic films from different genres in order to expand their offerings for viewers, so there is always a chance that The Lord of the Rings may appear on one (or both) of these services at some point down the line.

Conclusion:

At this time, The Lord of the Rings movies are not available on Netflix or Hulu for streaming but they can still be watched by ordering DVDs or Blu-rays through their respective DVD rental services (Netflix DVD Rental or Hulu Plus). There is also a chance that they may appear on one (or both) streaming services sometime in the future as both providers are continually expanding their libraries with classic films from different genres.
