Is Young Justice on Netflix?

Young Justice is an animated series created by Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti for Cartoon Network. It follows a team of teen superheroes, Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Artemis who fight crime and protect the world from evil forces. The series has been praised for its mature writing, engaging story arcs and excellent voice acting.

The first two seasons of Young Justice ran between 2011 and 2013 on Cartoon Network before being cancelled due to low ratings. Since then the series has developed a cult following with fans petitioning for its return ever since.

In 2019 Netflix announced that it had acquired the rights to stream Young Justice in all territories outside of North America and the UK. This was great news for fans who had been hoping to see the show return in some form or another.

For those in North America and the UK however, Netflix wasn’t an option as Warner Bros., who own the rights to Young Justice in these regions had their own streaming service – DC Universe – which held exclusive rights to show the series.

This meant that if you wanted to watch Young Justice in those regions you would need to sign up for DC Universe which cost $8 USD per month or $75 USD per year at the time of writing. Whilst this may have seemed like a steep price tag for some fans it was still much cheaper than subscribing to multiple streaming services just so they could watch one show.

However with DC Universe now shutting down on January 2021 it looks like there may be hope yet for fans wanting to watch Young Justice on Netflix. With no word yet from either Netflix or Warner Bros., regarding their plans moving forward it is unclear whether this will become reality or not but many are optimistic that this could be a possibility in 2021 or beyond.

Conclusion: Is Young Justice on Netflix?

As of 2021, no. However with DC Universe shutting down there may be hope yet for fans wanting to watch Young Justice on Netflix as both companies have yet to make any announcements regarding their plans moving forward.
