Where Is Amazon Opening New Locations?

Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce company, is continuing to expand its physical locations in order to better serve customers. With more than 500 stores in the United States, Amazon is looking to increase its brick-and-mortar presence even further.

In recent years, Amazon has opened new locations across the country and even internationally.

In 2020 alone, Amazon opened more than 40 new stores in the United States and Canada. The majority of these stores were Amazon Books locations, which feature a curated selection of books and other items for sale.

Other store types opened by Amazon include grocery stores, convenience stores, and pop-up shops.

Amazon’s expansion plans are not limited to North America either; they have also opened stores in Europe and Asia as well as India and Australia. In Europe, Amazon has opened several bookstores in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Sweden. In Asia they have opened several grocery stores in Japan and China.

Amazon’s expansion plans extend beyond physical locations; they are also investing heavily in their digital infrastructure with initiatives such as Prime Now and AmazonFresh. Prime Now is a service that allows customers to order things online for same-day delivery while AmazonFresh offers grocery delivery services.

Conclusion:

It appears that Amazon has no plans of slowing down its expansion efforts anytime soon. With more than 500 stores open across North America, Europe and Asia already under its belt; it looks like we can expect to see even more of these convenient locations popping up around the world over the next few years.
