Why Is Botdf Not on Spotify?

Botdf, also known as Blood On The Dance Floor, is a popular and controversial American electronic music duo which consists of Dahvie Vanity and Jayy Von Monroe. The duo has been making music since 2006 and their debut album, It’s Hard to be a Diamond in a Rhinestone World was released in 2008. They have released several more albums since then, including Epic (2010), Bad Blood (2012) and Cruel Pornography (2014).

Despite their success and popularity, Botdf is not available on Spotify. This is because the streaming platform does not allow explicit or controversial content on its platform. Spotify does not allow artists who violate its content guidelines to be streamed on its app.

Botdf’s lyrics often contain explicit language, references to drugs and violence, and other topics which are deemed inappropriate by Spotify. As a result, they are not allowed to be streamed on the platform. Additionally, some of the duo’s songs have been banned from YouTube due to their explicit lyrical content.

Another reason why Botdf is not available on Spotify could be because they are signed to an independent label called “Famemaster Records”. This label does not have the same kind of reach that major labels have when it comes to streaming services like Spotify. As such, it is difficult for Botdf’s music to get the same kind of exposure that artists signed with major labels receive.

Conclusion:

Botdf is not available on Spotify due to their explicit lyrical content and because they are signed with an independent record label which does not have the same kind of reach as major labels do. As such, it is difficult for their music to get the same kind of exposure that artists signed with major labels receive.
