Why WhatsApp Cannot Open PDF File?

WhatsApp is one of the most widely used messaging applications in the world. It is easy to use and provides a variety of features such as text messaging, voice and video calling, file sharing, and more. One of these features is the ability to share files such as documents, images, audio files, and more. However, it does not support the sharing of PDF files.

This is because PDFs are a type of file format that require specialized programs to open them. Since WhatsApp does not have any special program installed for viewing PDFs, it cannot open them directly.

In addition, PDFs are usually large in size and require a lot of storage space which WhatsApp does not have access to.

The other reason why WhatsApp cannot open PDFs is because it was never designed for this purpose in the first place. It was created as a messaging application only and adding support for different file types would require a lot of development work which would go against its main goal of providing an easy-to-use messaging solution.

WhatsApp also has security concerns when it comes to opening PDFs within its platform as these documents can contain malicious software which could be used to infect users’ devices. For this reason, WhatsApp has chosen not to provide support for PDF files or any other type of document that could potentially be dangerous if opened without proper security measures in place.

Conclusion:

The inability for WhatsApp to open PDF files is due to the need for specialized programs that require plenty of storage space which WhatsApp does not have access too; in addition, PDFs can contain malicious software which poses a security risk when opened within the application itself. Therefore, WhatsApp has chosen not to provide support for this type of file format in order to protect its users from potential harm.
