Why WhatsApp Says No Backup Found?

WhatsApp is one of the most popularly used messaging app in the world. It has become an essential part of our lives, as it helps us stay connected with friends and family.

However, sometimes we may encounter an issue in WhatsApp where it says “No Backup Found” while trying to restore a backup. This issue can be caused due to several reasons.

Reasons For ‘No Backup Found’ Error on WhatsApp:

  • The first reason could be that you have not enabled or created a backup before. In order to create/enable a backup, you need to go into the Settings tab and then select Chats > Chat Backup > Back Up Now.
  • Another reason could be that your old phone was not properly synced with your new phone before the transfer.

    This means that when you tried to restore your backups, the old chats were not properly backed up and thus, it couldn’t be restored.

  • It is also possible that your phone’s internal storage is full or low on space. This means that there won’t be enough memory for WhatsApp to store your messages and hence it won’t create a backup.

Solutions for ‘No Backup Found’ Error on WhatsApp:

  • The first solution would be to make sure that you have enabled and created a chat backup before transferring files from one phone to another.
  • The second solution would be to check if both phones are properly synced before transferring files from one device to another.
